We must receive full payment 7 days in advance of the first day of the course to secure your place. Places are allocated on receipt of payment.

You will be required to produce proof of identity for the course and examination. Photographic ID will be required on the day of training if you do not bring ID then you will not be able to sit the examination. As an example you could bring your driving license, bus pass, passport, etc.

The SIA will check your criminal record history for the last 5 years. If you have any convictions, they will ask you to explain the circumstances and the SIA will decide whether to grant you a licence. Convictions within the last 12 months relating to violence, deception or theft are not usually considered acceptable.

No, The cost of an SIA licence is currently £190 for our first licence. Discounts do apply for additional sector licenses at £90.00.

The SIA will check your address history for the time that you have lived in the UK, but you must supply a police check from the country that you lived in previously to make up the full 5 years.
